I have nothing to prove.
No one has anything to prove.
Perhaps the most pernicious aspect of the culture of the modern United States is the constant message that we all need to prove ourselves all of the time.
The Buddha said we are already enlightened, we just need to realize it. Ajahn Sumedho expects people to doubt him if he tells them that they are already perfect.
