Poor Tucker Carlson. One has to wonder if it hurts to be as stupid as he is.
His latest contribution to the world’s fund of abject stupidity is a rant about the evils of the metric system. The metric system is, in Tucker’s expert estimation, “creepy” (that’s a technical term) and “inelegant.”
Um, so using one basic unit and dividing or multiplying it by ten as necessary is “inelegant,” as compared to 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, and 5,280 feet in a mile? Really? Huh.
Using the metric system is a form of tyranny, according to Carlson. Faux “News,” of course, caters to the crusty, paranoid, old white people set, so it is perhaps not surprising that they choose to condemn the metric system so fulsomely.
This be “conservatism,” U.S. style. Knee jerk opposition to anything at all new or unusual, to crusty, paranoid, old white people, anyway.
This is also why they should not run the country.
